We've been back in the states since Thursday evening, and we just can't believe that our great trip is over! I shot 45 GB of images (sometimes 1000+/day), so I will be reliving this trip for a long, long time.

Thanks. The ferry crossing was perfect and the pics on our blog are incredible as are the ones from Kaikoura. We managed to avoid the rain mostly which was great.

Thanks so much for all your help with the south island trip. Both of us say it was the best holiday ever and we have both travelled a lot and seen amazing places before, but I think NZ is tops!

We both feel that Europe is not so interesting now and would rather save for another trip here to do more exploration, not for a couple of years though probably but no doubt I will be in touch. I will be certainly telling people I know about your service, it helped such a lot.

Sorry for not calling before we left. Things got a bit hectic as we left some luggage we had in storage at the hotel. But it all got sorted out. Thanks again for putting together an amazing trip for my family! We had such a great time in NZ. Hopefully we'll b back soon.

We are back home now and back to work. I wanted to touch base with you. The snorkel trip in Cairns was cancelled by us and they said there would be no charge for it due to the weather situation. When we arrived at Kaikoura we were told that the Seal Swim had been cancelled and that anything we paid on that should be refunded. They said that the seas were too rough to go out on that trip. Please refund us for those 2 tours.

I wanted to tell you how much we appreciate your expertise and assistance with this trip. You made it a memorable experience and we had such a wonderful time and I want to reiterate that you did a wonderful job with all of our other accommodations. We really appreciate how professional you have been with planning our trip. New Zealand is a beautiful country and so tourist friendly. It was so nice and if we had a question, we just looked for one of the information sites with the big "i".

Hello from a snowy Scotland.

Mark, thanks for all regarding our trip with Kirra Tours. All went well and we thoroughly enjoyed South Island. Only minor hiccup was the TransAlpine, it was late leaving Greymouth due to oil problem, and we arrived 90 minutes late into Christchurch. With some fast running to the baggage car and beating the crowds, we made our flight to Wellington and chilled out for three days with the help of a bottle of Scotch!!

Sorry it has taken me a bit to write this. Just wanted to let you ( and any one else who would care to read this) know what a great vacation we had, and how you, Mark and the rest of your families went above and beyond the regular call of duty ( like the time your husband gave me the home phone number of your parents whom you were visiting !!) to take care of all my needs and questions. There were occasions when Mark and I were chatting on the phone when he was attending a wedding, and when you, Deb were in your parents place discussing with me to take care of some last minute reservation changes and stuff like that.

It was very clear every step of the way that we have chosen the best possible allies for our dream vacation.

Even though there was that isolated incident with the rental car, now after couple of months all we can recall is how quickly you rose to the occasion to take care of the situation though it was no fault of yours. Truly, truly professional, courteous, efficient and what ever superlatives one can think of, you guys richly deserve all the accolades. Thank you ever so much for putting up with me for almost 2 years !!!

If there are better travel agents, I am yet to come across them. Suffice it to say that you will only be doing yourself a favor if you choose to work with the likes of Deb, Mark, et. al. My unabashed admiration and of course the highest possible recommendation and kudos to all of you.

The trip was really great; we enjoyed ourselves immensely. It was amazing that nothing went wrong over the whole eight weeks in Australia and New Zealand. We made all out connections, accomodations were great, cars worked out well, trains and ferries went smooth. You did a great job of putting it all together for us.

I wanted to let you know, again, how pleased we were with your planning and all of the accommodation. Everything went smoothly, and it was great having your knowledge about driving times, etc.

For example, we really didn't enjoy the Pancake Rocks (not that it wasn't beautiful, but I wouldn't want to go out of my way to seem them), but agree with you that it was a necessary stop, because we were so tired of driving by that point. If we had not had your "insider" wisdom, we would have overextended ourselves.

Good morning, Mark,

Sunday night here, our first full week home starts tomorrow. It was a fantastic trip; we can't wait to go to the South Island. Maybe we'll be able to go next December(if we don't visit our other son in southern Africa).

The highlights for me, besides the sheer prettiness and splendid geography of NZ were: tubing in Waitomo's cave, trip to White Island including dolphins swimming alongside the boat, drive on Highway 38 through Te Urewera National Forest journeying from Taupo to Gisborne(after stopping in Rotorua to luge and Taupo to bungee), and the three geothermal parks around Rotorua including Orekei Korako. If you asked the others their highlights they would include a day spent touring wineries(running into neighbors!), the food, the beach, the shopping, the museums, a picnic on the beach in Napier with food fromt the Farmer's Market.

This trip was flawless. There is so much to see and do in NZ, that one two week trip doesn't begin to touch it. We are excited to look at our photos as soon as Hertz sends us the camera we left in the car at the Auckland Airport.

After months of planning, getting everything finalised, our relations arrived safe and sound. Everything on paper sounded wonderful and we hoped nothing would happen to mar our holiday.

The 4 tourists have returned from their holiday of a lifetime through the North Island. We had a fantastic time from start to finish with not one hitch. Our family couldn't get over how perfectly everything went and how we covered so much country in such a short time. They loved the scenery and reckon they could happily settle here. Having 4 in the party was excellent and no one was left out at any time.

What we liked most about it was being able to travel on a daily basis and not in a large tour group. The drivers pointed out places of interest and all the rest stops were at very clean facilities, and excellent eateries.

Our North Island tour surpassed all our expectations. From setting out from Christchurch to arriving at the Auckland Airport there was not one slip-up in any way. Whatever was on the vouchers was perfect. We couldn't fault the cheerful drivers, the shuttle services to and from our very good accommodation, the tour guides had good general knowledge and no questions were any bother.

Your expertise in organising our holiday is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the accommodation you provided ; all hotels and motels were excellent, especially in Punga Cove. Thanks for the sun too ; the endeavour inlet and the queen charlotte tracks are wonderful places. I was too short of time to pass and say hello ; and i didn't find Zealand Tattoo, so i'd have to come back an another time...

So, we are very happy, and once more we feel that more than anything else we can say how the New Zealand people are nice. So, the place is great, we have a wonderful view, and we are very happy. This is the situation to also tell you that the basic hotel you told us about in Punakaiki was wonderful - very big, nice, and pleasant and very well equipped and we enjoyed it a lot. So, actually - every place was nice but this is just great. So, thanks for being there for us.

First of all, thanks for your help in creating what was truly a fantastic trip. We really, really enjoyed everything so much. New Zealand has it all---the beauty, the history, the art and culture. Perfect end to the journey.

All I can say is Errrrmmm!!! ............any words I could think of would not do what we did and saw in New Zealand any justice whatsoever. Amazing, Beautiful etc..etc.. won't even cut it. So, thanks debs for the tour, it was amazing. Everywhere you looked, in every location was a photograph. We are still buzzing after being home a week. We will most definitely be back. Hey I made it back from holiday...What an outstanding vacation!! The country where a hundred thousand post cards quality photos are taken....Absolutely fantastic

Just wanted to thank you for you setting up it so efficiently....Every transfer, every bus, every hotel room was right on time. The hotels you put us at were 5 star hotels in our minds just for the view alone...I was amazed at how well your tourism industry runs. The pace you set up was great we had a chance to explore on our own and add several activities to our schedule. The Jetboat ride at Queenstown was great! We got to see a lot in a short amount of time... I wish we would have had at least one more day to see more of Christchurch though. Just gives me a reason to come back I guess.

The WWW and internet-based travel has really taken a lot of the mystery out of booking holidays these days but the flip side is that it presents so much choice that trying to decide what to do and where to go without prior knowledge is now more daunting than ever.


I have to admit that my expectations were exceeded in so many ways.


In exchange, we got a voucher book that turned NZ into a prepaid experience that was quite delightful.

From car rentals, to plane tickets, to boat rides and hotels, all we needed to do was present the voucher. We also found the accommodations that she selected (within a price range/comfort level that we had talked about) to be fine and in some cases magical.


Thanks for you all help. You may wish to pass onto your boss that the reason that I chose to hire through Acrossnz.com is the personal (not computer generated) and very helpful reply's that I got from you both after my fist enquiry and since I have confirmed my booking.
