Day 1. Arrive Christchurch.
You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Stay: Christchurch, Hotel Ibis.
Day 2. Christchurch, Lake Ohau, High Country Hospitality Dinner.
Today we journey to Lake Tekapo and view the tiny Church
of the Good Shepherd. Our journey continues to the lakeside
settlement of Lake Ohau. This evening enjoy a High Country
Hospitality Dinner.
Stay: Lake Ohau Lodge.
Day 3. Lake Ohau, Dunedin, Scottish Ceremony.
Travel to Dunedin and upon arrival enjoy a city sights
tour and visit Olveston House. This evening enjoy a Scottish
Haggis Ceremony including bagpipes and haggis.
Stay: Dunedin, Leisure Lodge.
Day 4. Dunedin, Te Anau.
Depart from Dunedin and travel across the South Island
to the lakeside settlement of Te Anau.
Stay: Te Anau, Luxmore Hotel.
Day 5. Te Anau, Milford Sound, Queenstown, Walter Peak Dinner.
A highlight of our tour today is the cruise on beautiful
Milford Sound. Travel to the town of Queenstown. Tonight
cruise to Walter Peak Station to enjoy a carvery dinner.
Two Night Stay: Queenstown, Goldridge Hotel.
Day 6. Queenstown at Leisure.
Today enjoy the many activities this exciting alpine resort has to offer.
Day 7. Queenstown, Haast.
Depart this morning from Queenstown and journey up the
rugged West Coast to Haast.
Stay: Haast Heritage Hotel.
Day 8. Haast, Greymouth.
Enjoy the incredible scenery as we travel along the West
Coast. Continue along dramatic coastline through dense
primeval rainforest to Greymouth.
Stay: Greymouth, Kingsgate Greymouth.
Day 9. TranzAlpine Train, Christchurch.
Board the award- winning TranzAlpine Train. Enjoy stunning
scenery as we journey to the Garden City of Christchurch
which is also the South Island’s largest city.
Stay: Christchurch, Hotel Ibis.
Day 10. Christchurch, Picton.
Journey between the Pacific Ocean and rugged Kaikoura
Ranges. Visit Brancott Winery then arrive in the seaside
port of Picton.
Stay: Picton, Beachcomber Inn.
Day 11. Picton, Wellington.
This morning we join our Interislander cruise across Cook
Strait to the seaside capital city of Wellington. Upon
arrival enjoy a city sightseeing tour and self guided
visit to Te Papa, the ‘Museum of
New Zealand’.
Stay: Wellington, Bay Plaza Hotel.
Day 12. Wellington, Napier.
Follow the Kapiti Coast to the West Coast of the North
Island. Continue to Hastings and travel on to Napier
for an Art Deco tour of this city's famous architecture.
Stay: Napier, Tennyson Napier.
Day 13. Napier, Rotorua, Hangi (Feast).
This morning, enjoy a guided Art Deco walk. Continue to
geothermal Rotorua. Tonight enjoy a Maori Hangi and cultural
performance of song and dance.
Two Night Stay: Rotorua, Hotel Ibis.
Day 14. Explore Rotorua.
Today experience Te Puia Thermal Reserve and the Agrodome Farm Show. Country Homestay option available tonight.
Day 15. Rotorua, Auckland.
Today we visit Waitomo Caves, gliding through the cavern to see thousands of tiny glow worms glittering on the cavern roof. Continue to Auckland. Your tour concludes upon arrival and an airport transfer is included.
