Day 1. Arrive Christchurch, Freedom of Choice Touring.
On arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. This
afternoon choose from our range of Freedom of Choice Touring options in
Christchurch. Among other options available are a Garden Tour, punting on the
Avon or an insightful Bike Tour around the city.

Day 2. Christchurch, Mt Cook.
Leaving Christchurch, travel via tranquil Lake Tekapo to Mt Cook National Park
where you may wish to take a scenic flight over this awe-inspiring alpine
region (weather permitting, own expense).
Stay: Mt Cook, The Hermitage Hotel.
Day 3. Mt Cook, Dunedin, Freedom of Choice Touring.
Today travel via the unique Moeraki Beach boulders to Dunedin, where you will
choose your own touring activity from our range of Freedom of Choice Touring
options.
Stay: Dunedin City Hotel.
Day 4. Dunedin, Te Anau.
Depart Dunedin today for the journey through rolling Southland countryside.
Travel via the rural support towns of Balclutha, Gore and Lumsden to the
delightful town of Te Anau.
Stay: Te Anau, Village Inn.
Day 5. Milford Sound, Queenstown, Dine Around Dinner.
Today enter World Heritage-listed Fiordland National Park. Journey along the
Milford Road. Wind down the Eglinton and Hollyford valleys, then through the
Homer Tunnel to be met by the majestic sight of Mitre Peak. Here, board a Red
Boat and cruise the full length of pristine Milford Sound. Then continue to
Queenstown where tonight you´ll choose from four dining options,
including a cruise aboard the TSS Earnslaw across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak
Sheep Station for a carvery dinner or a gondola ride to the Skyline
Restaurant with amazing views of Queenstown.

Day 6. Queenstown, Freedom of Choice Touring.
Today choose your touring activity from our wide range of Freedom of Choice Touring options. Perhaps enjoy a garden tour or visit some local wineries. You may join an exhilarating jetboat ride on the Shotover River or choose to join a Double Decker bus tour through the streets of Queenstown and to the small goldrush settlement of Arrowtown.
Day 7. Queenstown, Franz Josef.
Travel to picturesque Mt Aspiring National Park and join a Haast River Safari,
taking in the stunning scenery from a jetboat. Then enter World
Heritage-listed Westland National Park, home to the majestic Franz Josef and
Fox glaciers. Perhaps take a scenic flight over this beautiful region (own
expense, weather permitting).

Day 8. Franz Josef, Christchurch.
In Hokitika, visit a glass-blowing factory and see native Pounamu (jade) being
carved into intricate jewellery. Then board the award-winning TranzAlpine
Train for a truly spectacular journey across the Southern Alps and over the
vast patchwork farmlands of the Canterbury Plains, before arriving in the
Garden City of Christchurch.

Day 9. Kaikoura, Blenheim, Winery Dinner.
Today journey along the east coast of the South Island to the seaside town of
Kaikoura. Continue along a stunning road winding between the mountains and the
sea to Blenheim, located within the famous wine region of Marlborough. Tonight
you have the unique opportunity to visit Brancott Estate Winery for a winery
tour and tasting followed by a delicious dinner.

Day 10. Blenheim, Wellington.
This morning cruise across Cook Strait to New Zealand´s capital city,
Wellington. On arrival, enjoy a guided city tour and a visit to Te Papa, the
National Museum of New Zealand.

Day 11. Wellington, Rotorua, Hangi (feast)
Your journey today takes you via Lake Taupo and mighty Huka Falls to Rotorua, a
geothermal city and commonly referred to as being the centre of Maori culture.
Tonight, enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) followed a traditional Maori performance
of song and dance.

Day 12. Rotorua, Freedom of Choice Touring.
Today, choose your activity from our range of Freedom of Choice Touring
options. Perhaps take an Eco-thermal Tour of the region, head to the Agrodome
for an entertaining sheep show, explore beautiful Rainbow Springs Nature Park
or take a leisurely soak at the Polynesian Spa.

Day 13. Rotorua, Waitomo, Auckland.
Travel today to the Waitomo Caves, where you will experience a guided tour of
the underground limestone caverns and glow worm grotto. Continue to Auckland.
Stay: Auckland, Skycity Hotel.
Day 14. Auckland, Bay of Islands.
Cross Auckland´s busy Harbour Bridge and travel along the Hibiscus Coast
to the Matakohe Pioneer Museum. Then continue via the Waipoua Forest Reserve
to the sub-tropical Bay of Islands.
Two Night Stay: Bay of Islands, Paihia Pacific Resort.
Day 15. Bay of Islands, Freedom of Choice Touring.
Today choose your sightseeing activity in this beautiful National Maritime Park and we will include it.
Day 16. Bay of Islands, Auckland.
This morning explore the Bay of Islands on a catamaran cruise to Cape Brett and
the Hole in the Rock. Then return to Paihia, where your coach departs for the
return journey to Auckland.

Day 17. Auckland, Freedom of Choice Touring.
This morning is at leisure in Auckland for you to explore or relax. This afternoon, choose your touring activity from our range of Freedom of Choice Touring options.
