Day 1. Auckland, Bay of Islands.

This morning we cross the Auckland Harbour Bridge, travelling through the farming communities of Warkworth and Wellsford. Visit the Matakohe Pioneer Museum, home to the world´s largest collection of kauri gum. Continue to the Waipoua Kauri Forest Reserve where we view the giant kauri tree Tane Mahuta Lord of the Forest. Travel to the sub-tropical Bay of Islands and visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, Maori Meeting House and War Canoe.
Two Night Stay: Bay of Islands, Copthorne Waitangi Resort.

Day 2. Bay of Islands, Freedom of Choice Touring.

Not only is the Bay of Islands the birthplace of the nation and thus full of New Zealand´s history, it is also home to 144 subtropical islands and renowned as a playground for lovers of anything aquatic. Today you have the opportunity to choose the sightseeing activity and we will include it. Perhaps play a round of golf at Waitangi, take a dolphin spotting cruise or embark on a memorable Tall Ship cruise. For a great way to spend your evening choose the Culture North Night Show an enthralling performance of drama, music and dance set in the Waitangi Treaty grounds.

Day 3. Bay of Islands, Auckland.

This morning our Bay of Islands catamaran cruise takes us on an exciting journey to Cape Brett and the famous Hole in the Rock. Pass beautiful islands and stop at a secluded bay before returning to Paihia where our coach departs for the return journey to Auckland.
Stay: Auckland, Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Day 4. Auckland, Rotorua, Hangi (Feast).

This morning journey to the crest of Mt Eden for views of the city and its harbours. Travel south to the Waitomo Caves and take a guided tour of the underground limestone caverns lit by millions of tiny glow worms. Continue to Rotorua, a geothermal wonderland. Tonight immerse yourself in a Maori Hangi (feast) and cultural performance including the Haka.
Two Night Stay: Rotorua, Millennium Rotorua.

Day 5. Rotorua, Freedom of Choice Touring.

Today you choose the activity and we will include it. Perhaps visit Rotorua´s Icons—Te Puia Thermal Reserve and see mud pools, geysers, the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute and the Agrodome for a sheep and farm show. Visit Rotorua´s museum or relax at the Polynesian Spa. The active will enjoy a 4WD safari adventure or golf. Learn about the kiwi at the Kiwi Encounter at Rainbow Springs National Park.Country Homestay option available tonight.

Day 6. Rotorua, Auckland or Wellington.

Should you choose to conclude your tour in Wellington, view the Wairakei Steam Valley, visit Huka Falls and the Waikato River, then continue Taupo to Wellington, where your tour concludes and a departure transfer to the airport is included. Alternatively, for those who wish to conclude their tour in Auckland, depart Rotorua and travel to Auckland, where there is free time before your departure transfer to the airport.
