Day 1. Arrive Auckland, Freedom of Choice Touring
Welcome to New Zealand! On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your
hotel. This afternoon, enjoy our Freedom of Choice activities where you choose
the activity and we will include it!
Stay: Auckland, Skycity Hotel.
Day 2. Auckland, Bay of Islands
This morning we travel along the beautiful Hibiscus Coast and visit the
Matakohe Pioneer Museum for a look into the history of the region. Continue to
the majestic Waipoua Forest Reserve before travelling on to the Bay of
Islands.
Two Night Stay: Bay of Islands, Paihia Pacific Resort.
Day 3. Bay of Islands, Freedom of Choice Touring.
Today you have the opportunity to choose your sightseeing activity.
Day 4. Bay of Islands, Auckland
This morning explore the Bay of Islands on a cruise to Cape Brett and the Hole
in the Rock. Return to Paihia and head for Auckland, the City of Sails.

Day 5. Auckland, Rotorua
Leaving Auckland, we travel south to the Waitomo Caves to see the glow worms.
Continue to Rotorua and tonight immerse yourself in culture as you enjoy a
Maori Hangi (feast) and cultural performance.
Two Night Stay: Rotorua, Heritage Hotel.
Day 6. Rotorua, Freedom of Choice Touring
Today, we give you the opportunity to choose the activity and we will include
it! Perhaps choose to partake in an Ecothermal Tour of Wai-O-Tapu Thermal
Wonderland.
Country Homestay option available tonight.
Day 7. Rotorua, Wellington
Follow the Thermal Explorer Highway to the heart of the North Island and view
Wairakei Steam Valley. Visit the mighty Huka Falls and Lake Taupo before
travelling south across the vast volcanic plateau of World Heritage-listed
Tongariro National Park on our way to Wellington.

Day 8. Wellington, Blenheim
Enjoy a brief city tour this morning before visiting Te Papa, the National
Museum. This afternoon board the Interislander cruise across Cook Strait to
Picton and on to Blenheim.

Day 9. Blenheim, Kaikoura, Christchurch
Enjoy spectacular scenery as we journey through the renowned vineyard and the
productive orchard region of Marlborough. Visit the fishing town of Kaikoura
known for its whale watching. This afternoon we arrive in Christchurch, the
Garden City.
Stay: Christchurch, Copthorne Central Hotel.
Day 10. TranzAlpine Train, Franz Josef
This morning board the award-winning TranzAlpine Train. Enjoy stunning scenery
as we journey across the magnificent Southern Alps. Disembark at Arthurs Pass
and continue to Franz Josef Glacier.

Day 11. Franz Josef, Queenstown, Dine Around Dinner
Enjoy a day of incredible scenery as we travel along the Haast River by safari
boat. Rejoin our coach and continue to Queenstown, the adventure capital. This
evening, you have a choice of four dining experiences with our Dine Around
Dinner.
Two Night Stay: Queenstown, Novotel Gardens Hotel.
Day 12. Queenstown, Freedom of Choice Touring
Queenstown is an alpine resort, perfect for adventurers and leisure-seekers with its range of activities and adventure sports on offer. Today you choose the activity and we will include it!
Day 13. Milford Sound, Te Anau
Today we follow the Remarkables mountain range and trace the shore of Lake
Wakatipu to Fiordland National Park. Wind down the Eglington and Hollyford
valleys, then through the Homer Tunnel to Milford Sound. Upon arrival you will
be met by Mitre Peak rising sheer from the glassy waters. We board our Red
Boat cruise and journey the full length of this beautiful fiord. This
afternoon we journey to the tranquil settlement of Te Anau.

Day 14. Te Anau, Dunedin, Freedom of Choice Touring
Leaving the landscapes of the Fiordland region, we journey through Southland
countryside. Travel along the rural support towns of Lumsden and Gore to the
east coast and the city of Dunedin. This afternoon you choose an activity and
we will include it!
Stay: Dunedin City Hotel.
Day 15. Dunedin, Mt Cook
Today we journey north along the coast to view the unique Moeraki Beach
boulders. We turn inland and travel past the beautiful azure-coloured man-made
lakes of Pukaki, Aviemore and Benmore. Continue to Mt Cook National Park.
Stay: Mt Cook, The Hermitage
Day 16. Mt Cook, Christchurch
This morning, stop at picturesque Lake Tekapo to visit the Church of the Good
Shepherd. Travel through Burkes Pass to Christchurch, the South Island´s
largest city with an English feel.

Day 17. Freedom of Choice Touring, Depart Christchurch
Choose from a wide range of touring activities including punting on the Avon River, a bike or garden tour or the Must See Four attractions − a trip to the Antarctic Centre, Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, a Christchurch tram and gondola ride. An airport transfer is included after your sightseeing.
