The Bay of Islands and Northland are a natural wonderland with an abundance of marine wildlife including big game fish such as Marlin as well as dolphins, orca and whales. Home also to some of New Zealand's premier golf courses and resorts which will challenge many a golfer.

DAY 1 - ARRIVE AUCKLAND

Arrive Auckland and collect your Budget rental car. The remainder of your afternoon is at leisure; take a walk to Viaduct Harbour the home of the Americas Cup action with vibrant bars and cafes before joining Pride of Auckland yacht this evening for a harbour sailing experience with 3 course dinner included. Overnight accommodation (Superior) Rydges Hotel or (Deluxe) The Great Ponsonby B&B.

DAY 2 - AUCKLAND TO KARIKARI PENINSULA

Travel north across the Auckland Harbour Bridge through the sprawling northern suburbs of Auckland, travelling to the Karikari Peninsula and Carrington Resort. This beautiful resort is set on the Karikari Peninsula with stunning ocean views and a number of activities such as skeet or clay bird shooting, mountain biking, bird watching and complete with its own vineyard. This afternoon "tee off" at Carrington for a great round of golf with panoramic views and if your golf isn't going so well after the first nine holes, stop at the resorts winery for a quick drop before you attempt the second nine! DAY 3 - KARIKARI PENINSULA TO PAIHIA
A short drive today to Paihia, the main centre for the Bay of Islands. The small resort village overlooks the beautiful bay to Russell, an area is steeped in history as the place where the Treaty of Waitangi was signed between the English and tribal Maori Chiefs. This afternoon enjoy a round of golf at Waitangi Golf Course offering well-groomed greens and fairways surrounded by areas of flowering native trees. Overnight accommodation is at (Superior) Kingsgate Autolodge or (Deluxe) Paihia Beach Resort and Spa.

DAY 4 - PAIHIA TO AUCKLAND

Today head back towards Auckland stopping for your last round. "Tee off" at Gulf Harbour Country Club with spectacular finishing holes, ocean views and rolling terrain make this one of the most exciting developments in New Zealand. Upon arrival in Auckland return your Budget vehicle before your onward journey.
