Arrive Rotorua and collect your rental car. The remainder of your day is at leisure to enjoy the activities in and around Rotorua. New Zealand’s Capital city sits between a sparkling Harbour and beautiful green hills, with some of the country’s best shopping, theatre and arts as well as being home to Te Papa, the Museum of New Zealand.
This morning enjoy a round of golf at Rotorua Golf Club (Arikikapakapa) offering a full 18 hole, all weather, links style course situated in Whakarewarewa next to the Thermal Reserve and Te Puia. Free time later today, we would recommend a Volcanic Air Safari flight over the volcanic crater of Mt Tarawera or a mud bath at Hells Gate.
Tonight experience a Maori Hangi (meal) and Cultural experience at Tamaki Maori Village, be entertained with songs and dances, including the poi, retelling ancient stories and legends.
A half day excursion to the Waimangu Volcanic Valley created in 1886 when Mt Tarawera erupted, destroying the surrounding area. This tour features the best of Rotorua’s history, geothermal sites, lakes and mountains, and nature experiences, all of which were heavily influenced by this eruption.Today’s golf will be played at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course – The Kinloch Club.After an amazing round of golf you will end the day with a hot swim at the Polynesian Spas.
